4Paws Pantry

What is 4Paws Pantry

4 Paws Pantry is a vital initiative offered by the Humane Society of Yuma, designed to provide essential food assistance to pet owners facing financial hardship. Our goal is simple: to ensure beloved pets can stay in their homes with the care and love they deserve, rather than being surrendered to the shelter.

Membership Terms

  • Proper identification will be required each time food is picked up.

  • Members must be a full-time resident of the Yuma community.

  • Food for the program is donated to the HSOY by the generosity of our community; therefore, we cannot guarantee that food is always available. Pet food amounts will be determined by the weight of your animals.

  • By becoming a member of the program, you agree to have your pet(s) spayed/neutered within two months of joining the program. If cost is a factor, we can help. Just ask. Please bring proof from your veterinarian of the spay/neuter of your pet(s) to your first visit.

  • The member cannot acquire more animals, either by taking in more animals or allowing current animals in the home to breed, while enrolled in the 4 Paws Pantry program.

  • Food will be provided for up to three animals. If you have more than three animals, you can choose which three to receive food for every month.

  • Monthly food pick-up is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month as long as food is available. It is advised you call the 4 Paws Pantry hotline, (928) 782-1621, for additional information each month. If you miss the scheduled distribution date, you will have to wait until the next month. Food will not be distributed at any other time during the month.

  • Food is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and is not guaranteed. If you are unable to attend a distribution, please list an approved alternate pick-up person on your application. That person will be required to present their Arizona ID/Driver's License at the time of check-in.

  • You must bring a container (i.e. box, bucket, or bag) to each distribution. Please bring a container that can be sealed to keep the food fresh.

  • Again, please do not bring your pets with you on distribution days.
